Project Description
What is a Training Center?
It is a place where you will find your formula for success; the one that is best suited to train or reorient you professionally, help you prepare for a further course of study or for a competitive exam.
Available options include apprenticeship and vocational training contracts, short or extended training courses (alternating with coursework or full-time), transitional classes, and classes that prepare students for competitive exams.
Each course combines elements to create the plan of study that is best suited to your needs.
In the past few years, the Fénelon Notre Dame Training Center has successfully positioned itself as the gold standard for careers in social services and in the paramedical field. In 2018, the Training Center added training options in other growth sectors : Refrigeration, household electricity, information technology, workplace safety, and the Certificate of Competency to Lead Youth Groups (BAFA).
Once enrolled in the Training Centre, students can head for the Office of Student Life (BDE) to enjoy student-friendly facilities, group activities, projects, cultural outings, events, and professional networking.
Our student residence, the Maison de l’Etoile located in Saint-Xandre, is reserved for middle school, high school, and post-secondary school students. Each week, it opens its doors to students as early as Sunday evening.
Give your life direction with a vocational training certificate (CAP)
The Fénelon Notre-Dame Training Centre focuses on your learning to know, learning to do, and learning to be. In other words, the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are essential to your success.
You have ambition? Good! Tell us what you want to do and we’ll help you achieve your goals.
Look over the courses, programs, and learning opportunities we offer. Then, give your future direction by choosing the personalized pathway that corresponds to your objectives.
You’ll soon begin to acquire the necessary skills to become the recognized professional you aspire to be.
“It matters little who you are and who you’ve been, you can be who you want to be.” W. Clement Stone
- Partnerships – We have maintained partnerships with regional businesses for the past 70 years: as guests in forums, business and cultural event sponsors, apprenticeship tax donors, suppliers, and advertisers. Our goal: to give you the opportunity to meet professionals and to carry out internships in work environments that will substantiate your choice of profession.
- International – Fénelon Notre Dame is a testing center for the TOEFL (English) and DELE (Spanish). We can also prepare you for certifications in other modern languages (German and Chinese). We count among our international partnerships British and Spanish companies who have already offered our students training opportunities. Each year, we enrich our teaching teams with native language trainers from the professional world. Following the example of American campuses, our Training Centre promotes sports and cultural activities that help broaden our students’ horizons.
- Innovation – It’s a key word in forward-looking training courses. Our pedagogy, focused on personalized support, helps you adapt in a world that is constantly evolving. The fundamental themes of sustainable development and technological innovation play a central role in student group projects.
- Employability – to heighten your potential in the job market or help you advance in your career, why not add certifications to your CV that are in demand with employers? As part of a course or as a separate option, our Training Centre offers certifications that will open doors for you: The Voltaire Certification, Certificate of Competence to Handle Refrigerants, and the Electrical Accreditation.
